The UCF Black and Gold Grant is a monetary assistance program funded by the University of Central Florida that is available to undergraduate students who meet all qualifying conditions, demonstrate economic need, and apply by the December 1st UCF priority application deadline.
The UCF Grant is only available for full-time study. This program was established in 1963, aiming to boost the area’s creativity pool and assist the US space initiative. The UCF Grant is dedicated to creating better opportunities for students. According to the University’s website, “progress can be achieved by expanding opportunities and demanding brilliance”.
UCF offers over 220-degree programs across 13 colleges, equipping students with knowledge of what lies ahead them. UCF Black and Gold Grants are types of voluntary contributions given to students who demonstrate monetary need, with no reimbursement necessary.
The UCF Office of Student Financial Assistance administers and/or awards grants programs, and the researchers receive over $200 million in grants and awards each year, propelling the university toward becoming a great university for patent production and a scientific dominant force.

- A completed FAFSA should be on file by December 1st
- Should be eligible for federal financial assistance
- Ensure you enroll full-time every semester
- Participate in the first undergraduate degree program
- Satisfy the academic progress standard
- Show considerable financial need and satisfy other entry requirements set by the university.
How to Apply for UCF Black and Gold Grant
Students should have error-free FAFSA results in a folder with UCF by December 1st. Only those who satisfy qualifying conditions are eligible for the awards. The time limit and other entry requirements are determined by the funds available and are subject to change quickly.
The directive is available on the page Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP). Have it in mind that this isn’t a renewable award; nevertheless, students may be judged annually if eligibility requirements are fulfilled and financial support is obtainable.
Also, note that there is no different application for this award. UCF awards are open to alterations if any corrections or changes are made to a student’s financial file, including receipt of other aid that decreases or eliminates eligibility for the Grant.
