Fredrikson and Bryon Foundation Minority Scholarship

Fredrikson & Byron founded this scholarship as far back as 1990 to support minority law school students’ legal education as well as to inspire them to enter and thrive in the private attorney’s practice in major corporate legal firms in the Upper Midwest.

This award is provided to a minority law student who intends to practice at Fredrikson & Byron or other corporate legal firms in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Des Moines, Iowa, or Bismarck or Fargo, North Dakota.

The Fredrikson & Byron Foundation’s dedication to increasing equality among inbound law experts is reflected in this scholarship scheme. Answers to application queries, a competent reference, law school progress, work, a writing sample, as well as financial need are major considerations when it comes to granting this scholarship.

Personal interviews will be carried out with the shortlisted candidates. Keep in mind that the award winner can also be offered the option to interview for a 2L summer associate role with the corporation.

Things You Need to Apply For Fredrikson and Bryon Foundation Minority Scholarship

You will need the following items to apply for this scholarship:

  • Resume/Activity List.
  • Two (2) written recommendations, one of which is in any of the following formats: Applicant Appraisal Form for a School Of law Professor; Applicant Appraisal Form for an Employer or Another Reference. A school of law professor will sign one recommendation form, while an employer must sign the second.
  • One (1) piece of writing from your first-year legal literature course.
