Grant to a Georgia Corporation, Individual, or Nonprofit Organization to Create an Accessibility Standards Manual (Accessibility Grant – Universal Design for Learning & Plain Language)
Description
This is a special grant open to Georgian Corporations, individuals, or nonprofit organizations who have the requisite experience in creating a manual of guiding principles that are accessible globally. Its main objective is to publish standards geared towards visible improvements in multimedia, web accessibility, and print.
Goal: Ensuring that GCDD materials are sufficiently distributed to all citizens within the state, also a manual designed for GCDD accessible materials production will be made available. And this has to be based on the principles of Universal Design for Learning and Plain Language (UDL/PL) by September 30, 2023.
Objective: To set standards that would guide the creation of accessible documents and presentations, including publications in print, multi-media, and web formats through which everyone, including those who are challenged intellectually or physically, can benefit.

Grant to USA Individual Jazz Artists in the Multiple States for Creative and Professional Development Activities (Jazz Road Creative Residencies)
Description
Up to $40,000 grants for Individual artists for creative and professional development activities and opportunities. This grant is basically designed to provide support for residency experiences for professional jazz artists. Covers all the following states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North & South Carolina, Tennessee, and Territories.
Purpose: To eliminate the monetary hindrances that keep mid-vocation proficient jazz craftsmen from putting profoundly in their innovative work on, taking care of their creative and expert development, and testing across a wide scope of artistic and community commitment prospects all through the US.
Residencies are to be impetuses to shape the following direction in the candidate’s collection of artistic work through the centered innovative turn of events or potentially commitment experience inside the community. They are intended to give a chance that the candidate accepts is a takeoff from previous artistic practice standards, just as produce a result accepted to essentially improve their vocation. Contract Term: Residences must take place between October 15 and June 30, 2023. Residencies are to last between 1 to 3 weeks in duration.
Additional Eligibility Requirements: This program is open for individual artists only (as an individual, an artist-led nonprofit organization, or an artist-led corporation). An eligible artist is:
– A mid-career professional jazz artist, working solo or together with a professional composer-led or collective jazz group;
– A mid-career professional jazz artist who has work experience and accomplishments in the jazz field to show; and,
– A U.S. citizen or permanent resident who is based in the U.S. or its territories. (Though non-residents may participate in the project, however, they won’t be eligible to receive Jazz Road funds).
This program is designed to provide support to professional artists within a career level spectrum from mid-career to “more accomplished”. Jazz Road recognizes that measures of “higher-level” career success judged by assumed visibility, awards, active touring/recording profiles, and income, are subjective. The applicant will define how this eligibility criterion is met.
Also, note that Current Jazz Road Tours grantees are also eligible to apply for Jazz Road Creative Residencies.

Grant to a Georgia Small Businesses in Eligible Locations for Covid-19 Financial Relief (Small Business Relief Grant)
Description
Grants of up to %7,500 and grants of up to $15,000 to small businesses in eligible locations in Georgia. This grant is designed to help cushion the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Basically, the funding will help cover the overhead and operational expenses of businesses that have shown verifiable revenue loss during the pandemic. For these businesses to qualify they must be located in the City of Augusta or Richard County.
The Funds may be used to cover for the cost of business interruption because of Covid-19 resulting in required closures, voluntary closures carried out to enhance social distancing protocol, or slowed business activities occasioned by a fall in demand cutting across these categories:
- Rent, lease, or mortgage payment for real property used for business purposes
- Cost of critical business operations
- Payroll expenses
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), sanitation supplies, and equipment
- Utility payments for business properties
- Essential Business materials and supplies

Estimated Total Program Funding: $1,250,000
Estimated Size of Grant: Grant funding will be disbursed in two different categories based upon the number of the total number of employees reported on the business’ W3 Summary or IRS Form 941 before Feb. 15, 2020. The categories of grant funding will include up to $7,500 for a sole proprietorship or business with between 1 and 20 employees, then up to $15,000 for 21-100 employees.
Additional Eligibility Criteria: Small businesses which are located in the City of Augusta / Richmond County suffered reasonable, momentary loss of revenue or job losses resulting directly from the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly businesses that have been directly affected by state business closure orders, are eligible.
1. Businesses with their principal location inside Augusta / Richmond County.
2. Those in business and have operated for a minimum of 1 year prior to March 1, 2020.
3. Can show a reduction in sales/revenue due to COVID-19.
4. Including sole proprietors and independent contractors.
The following are the basic eligibility requirements for applicants to be considered for grant funding through the Augusta CV-19 Small Business Relief Program. Augusta, Georgia staff will review each application to ensure that all eligibility requirements are met. Note It is important that all applicants submit the required accompanying documentation to ensure a complete application submittal.
The eligibility requirements are as follows:
1. Business can demonstrate the Retention (or Creation) of at least one Full-Time Equivalent employment opportunity for a low or moderate-income resident of Augusta-Richmond County, GA.
2. Can provide current City of Augusta, Georgia business license.
3. Can prove that business impacted badly resulting to loss of revenue because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
4. Must provide assurances during application that the grant funds will only be used to reimburse authorized business expenses.
5. Ready to resume normal operations after emergency guidelines are lifted.
6. Willing to cooperate with appropriate officials for grant auditing purposes.
7. Ready to prove that business operations have been going on at least for a minimum of 1 year prior to March 1, 2020.
8. No owner, officer, partner, or principal actor of the business has a felony conviction for financial mismanagement within the last three years for which he or she is still serving a sentence (including prison, parole, and probation).
9. Business is NOT publicly traded, partly owned by a hedge fund, or a corporate-owned franchise.
10. Business does not have any current city, county, state, or federal tax liens.
11. Business does not have any current unpaid code enforcement liens and is not operating in violation of any state, federal or local laws.
12. Commit to recommended COVID-19 Safety Guidelines provided by the local, State, and Federal authorities.
Disqualified Businesses:
1. Companies that are publicly traded, partially owned by a hedge fund, or corporate-owned franchises are not eligible.
2. Individuals or organizations who hold real property for passive sale or investment with no active ties to for-profit business activities at the location.
3. Businesses owned or operated by officials or employees of the Augusta, Georgia government are not eligible to grant recipients.
4. Unpaid code enforcement liens or violation of any state, federal or local laws.
5. Companies with legal actions against or from the City of Augusta Consolidated Government, including code enforcement liens are not eligible.
6. Owner, officer, partner, or principal actor of the business involved with financial mismanagement. This includes “Business Owner(s) with any conviction(s) for financial crimes within the last 3 years, with Business Owner(s) defined as Managing Members and/or Officers.”

Grant to a Georgia Farmers for Support During the Covid-19 Pandemic (The Farmer Fund Covid-19 Emergency Relief)
Description
Grants of up to $1000 targeted at Georgia farmers to assist cushion the impact of the Covid-19 health crisis. The funding to be provided will serve as support to sustainable and organic farmers to stay afloat during the pandemic.
The grant will support dwindled income or unexpected expenses which may stem from food safety and public health, or possibly medical expenses from illness occasioned by Covid-19. Those who were the worst hit would be given priority.

Estimated Size of Grant: Up to $1,000 per farm/farmer

Additional Eligibility Criteria: Farmers who have already received COVID-19 Farmer Fund support, are not eligible to re-apply at this time.
This round of funding is strictly for new applicants only.
The Farmer Fund is for Georgia-based sustainable or organic farmers suffering hardship and financial loss resulting from COVID-19 disruption. Here are the eligibility criteria for this funding:
(i) Must be an established Georgia-based producer/grower (not a reseller);
2. Must sell to the public through a farmers market, farm stand, online store, CSA, wholesale outlet, or restaurants that serve Georgia families;
3. Must farm with sustainable and/or organic production practices;

5. Must complete and email a signed copy of your IRS W-9 Form.
Please it’s instructive that If you have not suffered financial loss as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, do not apply for these funds.

Applications will be acknowledged on a rolling basis. Candidates can hope to hear back about whether they were affirmed for financing fourteen days after they present their application.
Applications will be first looked into to check the essential capabilities of working a functioning farm and the stipulated criteria. Those applications that meet the fundamental capabilities will be checked on by a board of trustees consisting of farmers and delegates from Georgia Organics.
