Grants to Connecticut crop growers and co-ops to build capacity and develop new and varied agricultural markets. Funding is intended to support projects and initiatives that allow producers to enhance their existing operations. The goal of the grant program is to support and encourage the diversification of established farm operations, promote transitioning to value-added agricultural production and sales, and develop farmers’ markets and other venues in which a majority of products sold are grown in the State.

Fellowships to USA journalists to support research and reporting on current issues. Fellows will have opportunities for networking and project development. Funding is intended to provide professional journalists with time and resources for an original project while fostering relationships with social scientists. $20,000 to Mitigate Financial Difficulties

If you live in Connecticut and own a business, you could qualify for grants of up to $20,000 counties to mitigate the financial difficulties resulting from the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis. Funding is intended to support small businesses employing between 2 and 50 workers that have been adversely impacted by the pandemic.

The Small Business Relief Fund is a Community Foundation of West Connecticut fund offered in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce of Connecticut.

$10,000 Grants for Underprivileged Residents

Grants of $10,000 to Connecticut, Colorado, Florida, and Texas nonprofit organizations in eligible locations to address the needs of underprivileged residents. Funding is intended to assist families and individuals who are financially disadvantaged. Grant funds are also intended to help people who do not have access to basic healthcare, human services, and basic needs, such as food, clothing, and shelter. International Filmmakers for Unique Film Projects

Grants and in-kind support services to USA, Canada, and International filmmakers to support unique small budget film projects that contribute to society. Funding is intended to support a film that may not otherwise be completed without the help of the grant. Eligible projects include feature-length films, short films, web or television series, and documentaries. Projects may be in the proposal stage, pre-production, production, or post-production.
